What's new manVersion 1.5

28/10/2009 - A year after the first release of ConvallisCRM we're pleased to announce version 1.5 which adds some great new capabilities. We've also paid some attention to the setup, to make installing ConvallisCRM even easier!

  • Users can now choose who within a mailing list receives a bulk email (i.e. some contacts in the mailing list can be left out if required)
  • It's now easier to send the same email to more than one mailing list
  • Querying categories or mailing lists is now more intuitive
  • When editing queries users can now look up the values of some fields
  • New fields have been added to the queries, including 'Birth Day' and 'Birth Month' so that users can find out which contacts have an upcoming birthday and send a card
  • Contact data retrieved by a query can now be added to or removed from a category or mailing list en masse
  • For customers with a large number of contact records, some of which maybe duplicates those records can now be merged
  • Added a new button to the contact details box which gives the ability to copy all the details in the box to the clipboard
  • The Database Wizard now initiates the installation of SQL Server 2005, if required, installing it with our recommended configuration

Version 1.4

24/08/2009 - This small release adds some new features and fixes some reported bugs.

  • Added new 'Personal' fields
    • Date of birth
    • Gender
    • Partner name
    • Medical conditions

Version 1.3

 

27/04/2009 - We're pleased to announce the release of version 1.3 of ConvallisCRM. As usual we've fixed a few bugs but this time we've added what we think is a significant new feature!

  • ConvallisCRM now has the ability to send a text message from within the application to any mobile phone, this could be to one recipient or a full mailing list, just as you can with the marketing email system
    • You can do this from the 'File' menu, giving you the capability to send to a mailing list or a contact unknown to ConvallisCRM
    • Or by finding a contact and then clicking the 'Send Text' button
  • Not all contacts will want to receive texts so we've also added a 'Receive Texts' flag to indicate whether the contact wants to receive text messages or not, this operates in a similar fashion to the 'Receive Email' flag
  • We've also added the ability to view emails sent from ConvallisCRM to a particular contact, just find the contact and click the 'View Emails' button
  • Likewise users can also view texts sent from ConvallisCRM to a particular contact, just find the contact and click the 'View Texts' button

Version 1.2

26/03/2009 - We're pleased to announce the release of version 1.2 of our contact management tool. We've fixed a few bugs and added some new features, see the list below for what we've added:

  • Searching for a contact has been extended, the user now has the ability to search phone numbers
  • A new 'Clear' button has been added to the search, so that users can quickly and easily clear the previous search
  • We've added buttons to the contact details pane of the contact dashboard (displayed when a contact is selected), these buttons allow the user to copy the name and address, web address or email address to the clipboard, for pasting into applications like Word.
  • Contact data now has a field for a user defined reference number, which can also be searched upon
  • Contact touches now have a field for a reference number, this can be automatically generated by the application or entered by hand. This gives the ability for ConvallisCRM to used as a help desk application for instance with the reference being used to provide the contact with an incident number. This number can also be searched upon.
  • The search list has been upgraded with new buttons to quickly page through the results row by row or page by page
  • Finally, we've added the ability to review emails previously sent from the program
