Installing ConvallisCRM Version 2

This tutorial will guide you through installing your copy of ConvallisCRM Version 2 and also will show you how to do the initial set up of the software. The installation of ConvallisCRM on a single computer (stand-alone client installation) or on a network server will use the same steps which are covered in this tutorial. In the case of a network server, it is important to set up the database on the designated server computer so that the network users can access it.

1. Temporarily disable any security software running on your computer (such as Anti-Virus, Firewall etc.), this will prevent the software from raising alert messages during the installation of the software. Don't forget to enable it once the installation has finished.
2. Go to the folder where you downloaded ConvallisCRM and select Setup.exe to start the installation.
3. You will see the following screen, click Next to start the installation.
4. Read through the License Agreement, if you agree select I Agree and click Next.
5. The next screen allows you to choose where to install ConvallisCRM and who on the machine will be able to use it. Make the changes you require and click Next.
6. Confirm you want to install ConvallisCRM by clicking Next, the software will now start installing (This may take a few minutes).
7. When the installation is complete, click Close.
8. Next, you need to set up the database. This should start automatically, if it doesn't from the Start Menu, select Convallis Software Ltd > ConvallisCRM > Database Wizard.
   
9. Click Next to proceed with setting up the database.
10. Tick the Install SQL Server 2008 box then click Next.
11. Select a folder where you want to put the SQL Server download in.
12. This will download the software and install it.
13. When this is complete, click Next.
14. The database connection details page will then be displayed. The name of the database server in the box labelled Server Name will already be shown as (local)\CONVALLIS or [YOUR COMPUTER NAME]\CONVALLIS - click Next.
15. On the next screen, click Finish.

You have completed the installation for ConvallisCRM Version 2.
